    Pros +

    • There is no water in the room, but you can pick a drink (juice or beer or water) from the lobby instead. The breakfast also has a decent selection of items
    • The room was a good size for a Japanese hotel, with a decent sized sitting area. The washing machine and dryer were the industrial kind, so laundry can be finished very quickly. There was an amenities bar with many available items to pick up, such a small snacks, drip coffee, face masks, on top of the regular cleanser and lotions I’ve seen in other hotels.
    • Staff was helpful. Location was great! Nice that it was central. Having the library as a waiting area for laundering is a brilliant touch!

    Cons -

    • When sliding into the bed for the night, my foot touched something wet, immediately I pulled the covers back, and discovered a massive yellow stain on the sheets. It seems the previous guest urinated themselves in bed and the housekeeping staff just threw on a new blanket on top of the wet mattress. This is entirely unacceptable level of hygiene and cleanliness, and even after getting a new room change and taking a shower, it has traumatized me that now I need to check under the sheets in every hotel I go to. I hope that the staff is able to be more thorough in how they clean their rooms. The elevator is also really slow, and the smoking room smell creeps into surrounding areas.
    • The air conditioning either doesn’t work or is centrally turned off during our stay - the room was 25 degrees Celsius and the only option we had was the fan that sometimes blew cool air and sometimes blew warm air, which did not make it any more comfortable to sleep. The bathroom was teeny tiny despite the rest of the room - it was maybe 10 square feet (3 sq ft for the tub, 4 for the sink and toilet, and 3 of actual standing space). I’m about a US size 8 to 10 and had to maneuver into the bathroom sideways. The laundry was in the parking lot level so it was a little inconvenient and a little odd with the laundry room’s glass doors and windows facing a public place. The elevator’s safety sensor doesn’t seem to work - it closed once around my shoulders and another time around my arm and I have the bruise to show for it - we weren’t running or trying to catch it either, just getting out with our luggage.
    • Just came from Matsue New Urban, so was definitely not what was expected. It was quite a bit less exciting. ??‍♀️

Location near the Matsue train station

Lack of security - elevator from street directly to your floor and room. NOT GOOD! Strick check-in policy at 3PM despite rooms cleaned and available for guests. Rock hard pillows. Construction next to hotel and Highway traffic noise facing hotel entrance. Reception staff could not speak English. Must reserve for breakfast. Staff at breakfast area very rude - denying us breakfast because we did not reserve it despite booking.com advertisement stating "breakfast can be purchased at hotel". Fast closing elevator doors - be careful.

Close to station, good breakfast which is replenished quickly..great you can choose goodies @ front reception. Good coffee, friendly staff. Nice not to have self check in.p

Room was very very hot, air conditioning struggled to keep cool..opened windows but was noisy from the street & station.

    Close to train staìn.

Made for business men it is cube hotel. Extremely small bathroom even by Japenese standards. Filthy carpets and expensive for this old hotel.

When your hotel is under major/minor external/internal renovation, you need to be upfront & indicate it clearly for your foreign On-line customers to consider. This was Not indicated when I did my booking. So, it was a disappointment when I first arrived to stay.

The breakfast was small, compared to American meals, but satisfying if you add a little rice and tea.

The size of the rooms were small but there's nothing you can do about that. It's also typically small, because Japan has smaller rooms overall.

    8midoriPosted on: 12-5-2023

very close to the station. lots of restaurants near by. the staff are friendly. lots of amenities were offered. the room was very clean and spacious.

bath room is very small. they sold laundry ditergent but it's smalls too strong.

Close proximity to JR train and bus station. Although not much parking at the hotel they have an arrangement with a multi storey park very close by. All facilities good. Shops and restaurants within easy walking distance. Staff very courteous and helpful.

An extremely nice hotel near the Matsue station.. clean rooms, very polite and friendly staff and good amenities.. definitely recommended

Room size could have been more

The location was excellent for reaching Kunibiki Messe Convention Center, where I participated in a conference.

The room and the bathroom were really small. The smell of the room was bad, probably because it was a room allowed for smoking.

    8AdarPosted on: 6-12-2023

The location is 3 minutes from the main train stationThere are many little amenity kits and stuff for free

    Very crampedNot very clean

    8MikaPosted on: 4-24-2023

The hotel was located close to the station so very convenient for public transport and the shops. Our room was in the corner so had a very nice view. It was also very clean and the bed was comfortable too. Staff seemed very friendly, we had a lovely stay.

The room looked a bit dated but everything was working ok. The reception area was nice though, looked quite new and modern.

    5GalbiatiPosted on: 1-3-2023

    Passable

There's no valet parking, I had to leave my car in a parking lot two blocks from the hotel, as the hotel's available spaces were always occupied.

    7AdjabhakPosted on: 11-6-2022

Staffs were very kind and tried to help me (the foreigner) very much.

I don’t know what have happened. After I extend my staying in the Booking.com, I was shifted from non-smoking room to smoking room. Therefore, the smell of the smoke attach to my clothes.

    4SarahPosted on: 5-30-2022

staff were friendly, beds were decently comfortable

it was cramped, dirty, exposed wires, bathroom was falling apart

    8SvenPosted on: 5-17-2022

good location with many places to go out close by, no noise though!

the pillow was very hard and not comfortable

    8夕客Posted on: 1-5-2022

The location is very good. The room is very clean. They provide many kinds of free living supplies, which is very convenient.

The bathtub is too small. The soundproofing of the room is not very good, and you can easily hear the footsteps outside the door.

    7ダニエルPosted on: 1-1-2022

The hotel was located close to eating and shopping, and the train station was only a 3-minute walk. The hotel also provides free rental bicycles to guests.

It’s old and in desperate need of renovation. There were poorly repaired stains on the wallpaper in the room and bits of what looked like dried fried rice on the carpet. The bathroom was extremely cramped and the bathtub could barely be called that unless you were shorter than 140cm. There was also clearly visible mold in moat corners of the bathroom and water spots all over what should have been a clean mirror.Perhaps this hotel was adequate for travelers in the early 1980s, but there are other rooms available in the same areas for marginally more that are significantly better stays for the money.
